FIRST POST

Welcome! This blog will cover news regarding the implementation of Florida's Science Standards. Florida is currently going through a revision of their state science standards. As expected, this is getting a lot of negative press, entirely based upon the inclusion of evolution. We will have much to say on this blog not only about the need for evolution in the standards, but about the fact that having it in the standards does not amount to an anti-religious stance. We can easily embrace evolution as the only explanation that makes scientific sense, without having to feel threatened in regards to our religious beliefs and values. We would like to emphasize the importance of the nature of science(NOS) in this endeavour.
